30 October 2014
We opened Chapel FM to the public on October 9th (the photo above shows young people from David Young Community Academy choir singing at one of our launch events). Since then almost 1100 people have visited the Centre for our events, training opportunities and broadcasts. That includes local people, school groups and teachers on training courses, and of course our volunteer broadcasters—young and old.
At the same time over 3200 people have tuned in online at www.elfm.co.uk to our various broadcasts and live events from the radio theatre.
It's exciting times as we move forward from building the first-ever arts venue in East Leeds into the work of developing the place into a thriving centre. It's started well and there is plenty more coming up before Christmas. Have a look at the latest copy of our newsletter—THE PULP IT—with full details of the programme for November and December
