We launch Chapel FM in October. But we wanted to take the opportunity to test the place out early on. The ideal opportunity arose to allow the young people who volunteer as part of our Next Generation training programmes to be the first people to use the space.
We had been commissioned to create a performance for the Breeze Arts Festival. The young people created a multimedia performance that explored the lives of a group of young people who attend a makeshift cinema in Seacroft Village and how their lives were affected by the events of the First World War.
The show was a sell-out over two wonderful nights. The performance was fantastic; and it proved that Chapel FM is a great place to perform in. The video is a montage from the show edited by one of our young volunteers, Denmarc Creary, with one of the original songs created and performed live on the night.
